Due to the sensitive nature of foreign assistance in Burma, we have chosen not to publish specific names of communities that we have worked with.

School Village Project - Our school village project is now complete and the kids are loving learning in a new, more spacious environment. We are now looking at how we can continue sustainability in this particular village, through the provision of farm land and equipment (which the chidren can learn about), and other resources that can be used in the community and leased to other communities to generate income (eg: tractor). We are really excited to see the long term impact that this could have on the community.

Displaced Orphanage Project - We are now in phase two of this long term project, where children were displaced from their families when the new 'Royal City' was developed. We first supplied some emergency relief and a building to house the 50+ children in, and now are working on a sustainable farming initiative, as well as some additional emergency (food and clothing) relief and educational resources. It will be quite some time before this orphanage can properly support the children in its care, however we are committed over the next few years to assisting them in every way possible.

Border Area Orphanage - The Thai border area is littered with children whose parents are lost or killed due to the terrible conflicts there. This 'orphanage' is made up of currently around 20 children who are assisted by members of the community. Our priority is organsing suitable housing for them, and we are at phase 1 of that building. Fundraising in 2008 is focussed on generating support to finish the accommodation building and supplying farm land, animals and equipment to support the basic needs of the children.
